The Safety Squat Bar is a top-of-the-line, specialty barbell that provides comfort and training variety. The bar’s cambered ends distribute the weight differently than a standard barbell, forcing the lifter to remain upright during squats, improving technique, and requiring more upper back and core stabilization. The Safety Squat Bar has a firm yet comfortable, textured pad made from high-density foam wrapped in vinyl that’s incredibly durable and easy to clean. This bar comes finished in a metallic black powder coat. It's not only versatile, but the striking two-toned design will look good in any home or commercial gym. The SSB is compatible with 2” Olympic-sized plates and standard barbell collars. This barbell weighs more than a regular bar (68lbs) and has a static rating of 1,500lbs.

KNURLED HANDLES
The beefy handles are fully knurled to provide a comfortable feel and secure grip during your lifts. They are also removable, adding versatility to this bar in movement and with more handle attachments currently in development. -

The REP safety squat bar is designed to be rackable on the standard 47” width of REP’s racks, as well as racks with up to a 49” width. It will sit flush and secure and not tilt your j-cups in.
Our barbells are designed to work with any standard plates with 2” diameter center holes.
It ships in two packages: one box for the bar and handles, and one box for the pad.
No, some assembly required, but it is minimal and easy. The pad will need to slide over the bar into place and be Velcroed in the back. The handles need to be screwed into the main bar shaft. Total assembly time is about 5 minutes.
No. One of the benefits of a SSB is it loads your body in a different way than a standard barbell. However, the vertical path of the barbell should remain unchanged from a standard squat. If the plates rotate while using a SSB, that can cause instability, which is not what you want when squatting heavy!
