The Ares™ 2.0 attachment is widely recognized as the best fully integrated functional trainer and lat pulldown/low row system that mounts directly onto your power rack. Now, you can experience the functionality of the Ares™ 2.0 attachment without requiring as much space or a separate freestanding rack. The Wall-Mounted Ares™ 2.0 isn't just an innovative, space-saving cable machine attachment. It doubles as a half rack that mounts securely onto the wall, revolutionizing possibilities for compact gym spaces without compromising your training. Complete your setup with J-cups or Spotter Arms for barbell training, such as squats, rack pulls, and bench press.
Packed with versatile features typically reserved for high-end commercial gym equipment, this wall-mounted functional trainer combines a functional trainer, lat pulldown, low row, and half-rack station — all within a compact 2.5' footprint. An innovative winged-out plate storage upright provides convenient storage without increasing depth, making it ideal for small home gyms. Independent dual weight stacks allow for both unilateral and bilateral training, as well as enabling two athletes to train simultaneously at different resistance levels or a single athlete to easily perform supersets without adjusting weights.
The dual selectorized weight stacks start at 260lbs each, with an upgrade option to 310lbs per stack (offering 155lbs of resistance each due to the 2:1 cable ratio). By securely mounting this cable machine directly to the wall, there's no need for mini-foot extensions, further maximizing space. The premium trolley design features plastic liners for easy, one-handed height adjustments, paired with aluminum pulleys and custom retainers to ensure a consistently smooth cable experience. An ultra-thin cable coating further enhances smoothness, while swivel pulleys for the lat pulldown extend outward, delivering a broader range of motion comparable to traditional standalone cable machines. The low-row cable is positioned slightly higher than most for improved ergonomics, whether you're seated on a bench or on the floor. The footplate is wide, angled for support and adjustable for maximum comfort.
When not in use, the front trolleys rest at the bottom of the uprights, freeing upright space — particularly beneficial for lifters using 80” uprights performing pressing or squatting exercises outside the rack. Independent dual weight stacks allow for both unilateral and bilateral training, as well as enabling two athletes to train simultaneously at different resistance levels or a single athlete to easily perform supersets without adjusting weights.

The number of cable exercises you can perform is long, but just to name a few: bicep curls, tricep pushdowns, tricep extensions, standing or seated chest flies, rear delt flies, lateral leg raises, donkey kicks, lateral and frontal arm raises, rehab/prehab shoulder work, mid-height seated rows (on the floor or on a bench), low rows (by sitting on a bench), lat pulldowns, wood choppers, face pulls, chest presses, and belt squats with the Belt Squat attachment. Since there are so many attachment points, it is easy to superset between exercises. Check out a full-body cable workout you can do on the attachment here.
Storing trolleys at the bottom of an upright allows you to have a greater range of height placement for attachments. When you store them at the top of the upright, it takes away from attachment (i.e. J-cup) height options, especially on 80" racks.
Yes.
The 80" upright height option has a shorter range of motion for lat pulldowns, trolley height adjustments, and attachment height adjustments. This is due to the 80" rack being shorter than the 93" rack.
Yes.
The weight stacks are 260lbs each with the option to upgrade them to 310lbs each. They also come with labels that tell you how the weight stacks feel for ease of use. No math required.
The Wall-Mounted Ares™ 2.0 attachment was designed with leveled floors in mind. However, we know not all floors are perfectly level, and there is room for the standard slope of a floor. For extremely unlevel floors, you may run into issues with installation.
We cannot guarantee compatibility due to machining/manufacturing differences between companies.
Check out our blog, "How to Compare Power Racks," for more information.
Concrete anchors are included to bolt the uprights to the floor. If you would like to mount the stringer to concrete, we suggest purchasing 5/16”x3” HWH large dia concrete anchors, washers, and ¼"x7” drill bit.
Spotter Arms: Yes, when properly installed, the wall-mounted cable machine is very stable. We've tested the spotter arms up to 950lbs. As for the ISO Arms, they are not compatible with this version of the Ares™ 2.0 attachment.
Structural welds on attachments and frames have a lifetime warranty. Pop-pins, pulleys, bearings, cables, and hardware have a one-year warranty.
