These are a new spin on REP’s best-selling Rubber Hex Dumbbells. Like the originals, the Rubber Coated Dumbbells are made from premium, low-odor rubber that is quiet and easy on your floors and the equipment. That same rubber now extends to coat the dumbbell handle, eliminating the risk of rusting, chipping, and peeling over a long period of time. In addition, the rubber handle prevents the shock of grabbing cold steel in chillier climates. The fully textured handle provides a similar grip as knurled steel and holds chalk well, too. Handles are ergonomic with center knurling for a comfortable and strong grip.
The Rubber Coated Dumbbells are also more compact than their standard rubber hex counterparts. This saves space on your rack and frees up room to add more weights. The hexagon-shaped head allows for easy storage and prevents the dumbbells from rolling, and the heads of the dumbbells are securely attached via friction welding. Dumbbells are sold in pairs of 5lb increments, from 5lbs to 50lbs. They’re also available in sets: 5-50lbs, 5-75lbs, 5-100lbs, 55-75lbs, and 80-100lbs. Handle length is 4.5” for all sizes, although the handle diameter is slightly thicker for weights heavier than 25lbs.

What is the difference between rubber and urethane dumbbells?
Rubber and urethane are the two most common materials for dumbbells. The difference between the two lies in their durability and price. Urethane is more expensive. It is also an extremely durable material that is abrasion-resistant and shows less age over time. Urethane dumbbells can sustain more wear and tear over a longer period of time.
