Why is it Called 'the Underworld?'

The name "Underworld" was not chosen at random but is embedded in REP’s tradition of drawing inspiration from Greek mythology.

Many of REP’s popular products are named after mythical figures and tales: the Hades Deadlift Bar, the Ares™ and Athena™ cable attachments, the Apollo™ half rack, and the Adonis™ cable tower, the Pegasus™ seat attachment, the Arcadia™ functional trainer, the Helios Squat Bar, the Oxylus™ yoke. 

These names not only highlight the strength and endurance these products are designed to promote, but they also also align with the mythical themes of power and transformation. 

In those myths, the Underworld is the place souls go after life, a realm of both endings and beginnings. We thought it a fitting name for our clearance section, where gym equipment that doesn't quite hit our top specs gets a chance to start anew. It finds a second life.

This resonates with the idea of transformation and renewal, themes central to both fitness journeys and mythical quests.  

Clearance Barbell Line

The Underworld features an ever changing, wide range of gym equipment, including our clearance barbell line, Death Valley. These barbells feature a distinctive "Death Valley" end cap that clearly marks this line. 

The Death Valley bars fall slightly short of REP’s exceedingly high standards for manufacturing due to minor cosmetic issues, such as inconsistencies with the knurling or finish blemishes on the bar or sleeves. 

Still, even these perfectly imperfect picks retain REP's high standards.

Underworld items can be shipped for free in the lower 48 states or are available for local pickup. If you live in California or Pennsylvania and the specific item you want is in your local showroom, you're welcome to request to check it out in person before purchasing it.

Save even more money when you shop the Underworld in person, too. You can stack the local pickup discount with the Underworld discount. When you choose pickup instead of delivery, you get 10% off purchases up to $2,500; 12.5% off $2,500-$7,500; and 15% for all purchases above $7,500. 

Pair that with 20% (a common Underworld discount -- although the exact discount may vary), and you could get up to 35% off your purchase.

You can't combine the Underworld with any other discounts or deals.
