We do not recommend mixing any other plates with our bumpers because the non-uniform diameters can create uneven stress on the bar, which may damage it over time.
The urethane-coated Equalizer™ plates are iron plates with a urethane coating. While the urethane coating adds durability and helps reduce noise, we do not recommend dropping iron plates, as it can damage the bar, the plates, and the floor.

Incredible plates. So easy to handle, they don’t take a lot of space on the bar, and great urethane finish. Still get a nice clank when you bang two 45s together. I love them.
