FAQS
-
What does “selectorized” mean?
On selectorized equipment, you change the weight using a pin and weight stack, rather than adding plates (like a plate-loaded attachment).
-
What is the lowest weight setting?
The lowest weight setting is 20lbs.
-
Will this work on my non-REP rack?
We cannot guarantee compatibility due to machining/manufacturing differences between companies.
-
How big of a footprint will this add to my rack?
The Selectorized Lat Pulldown and Low Row (1000 Series) adds 23.6” to the depth of your home gym power rack.
-
What is the cable travel on the selectorized lat pulldown?
This attachment has approximately 54” of travel length.
-
Is there enough clearance to bench with a spotter?
No, due to the footplate positioning, we suggest benching with a spotter on the outside of the rack.
-
How does the Selectorized Lat Pulldown and Low Row (1000 Series) work when the PR-1000 has two pull-up bars?
To assemble the Selectorized Lat Pulldown and Low Row (1000 Series) on the PR-1000 Power Rack, you must replace the back pull-up bar with the horizontal brace that is included, as the assembly instructions show.
-
Is this a stand-alone product?
No. The Selectorized Lat Pulldown and Low Row (1000 Series) is NOT a stand-alone product. It will need to be installed onto a compatible REP rack (PR-1000 Power Rack and PR-1100 Power Rack).
-
Is there a conversion kit to go from the plate-loaded system to the selectorized system?
No. This version is a completely new design that will utilize a different base, upper pulley system, and guide rods that will not be compatible with any parts from the plate-loaded version.
-
What is a 1:1 ratio?
A 1:1 ratio means 20lbs on the cable creates 20lbs of resistance for you to move. These are also called single-pulley machines. A 2:1 ratio means 20lbs feels like 10lbs. These are also called double-pulley machines. A 2:1 ratio is great for functional training, when you want a faster-traveling cable. A 1:1 ratio is best for slower, strength-focused exercises (like rows and pulldowns).
-
What exercises can you do on this attachment other than lat pulldowns and low rows?
You can do a ton of other exercises, such as face pulls, tricep pulldowns, bicep curls, kickbacks, shoulder raises, hip abduction/adduction, front raises, and more.
