We do not recommend mixing any other plates with our bumpers because the nonuniform diameters can create uneven stress on the bar, which may damage it over time.
The Rubber Coated Olympic Plates are iron plates with a rubber coating. While the rubber coating adds durability and helps reduce noise, we do not recommend dropping iron plates, as it can damage the bar, the plates, and the floor.

These are high quality plates. And they match my red and black PR-4000 and bench! Easy to grab, carry and load. Even the 10 lb plates have openings to grab on to. Looking forward to adding higher poundage.

I recently got these plates (four 45's and two 25's) in conjunction with the Rep fitness chrome curl bar (which I also highly recommend). These plates are excellent for home workouts. The rubber coating, which feels thick and durable, has been great for protecting my floor against scuffs and for making for overall easier and quieter handling of the plates. I weighed all the plates and they are within the specs and tolerances (take a look at attached pics). The inner collar of the plates is also very smooth and polished allowing for easy loading and unloading on the bar. Highly recommend these plates!! Great bang for the buck.
