Flip-Down Safeties feature a plastic liner along the top which removes the metal-to-metal contact that occurs when using Pin-Pipe Safeties. This protects your barbell from potential damage when contact is made with the safeties.
Additionally, you'll be able to utilize the 1” holes along the sides of the Flip-Down Safeties with PR-5000 attachments, such as the Leg Roller and Utility Horn. Keep in mind these 5000 Series attachments are designed for 3x3" posts, which means there may be some side-to-side play along the pin when downward pressure is not applied.

Yes, you need to use a pair of Utility Horns and their safety pins, along with the flip-down safeties, to be able to do the dip movement properly. We cannot warranty the safeties for dips with third-party dip handles, as they may be longer and create more torque than our safeties are designed to handle.

These work as intended I’m hoping. Haven’t had to really bail mid squat yet to tell. Had a small issue with 1 of the safeties being bent and not sitting properly on the rack. REP sent out a new pair.

Had one of the clevis pins that was lacking a spring and bearings but Repp sent a new one right away. Quality of these safeties is very high. secure and with the numbering makes them perfect
